Green chemistry is increasingly important in addressing environmental and sustainability challenges. These include pollution, resource depletion, and climate change. To x-TRACT “green science” encompasses various fields: organic synthesis, material science, catalysis and chemical engineering.

Research & Technology
Due to very different challenges across x-TRACT’s product portfolio, R&D is very critical.
In our Thane lab we employ currently 8 experienced chemists.
As a team we aim to push boundaries by developing new ideas, methods and technologies, leading to better solutions.
Bottom Up
To x-TRACT, a bottom-up approach from natural raw materials refers to a method of synthesis and manufacturing in which complex molecules are built up from simpler, naturally occurring starting materials. This approach involves using renewable resources, such as biomass or plant-derived materials, as the foundation for creating more complex compounds or products.
x-TRACT works on a couple of raw materials where a number of downstreams can be developed.

Top Down Approach
A potential user asks for a specific molecule that needs to be developed.
Development can be fully done at x-TRACT. Alternatively the customer has a ready process to be executed.
Possible is also that some work has been done in lab already and the work needs to be completed.
